⚡Fueler Weekly 100: Fueler would have never existed without this incident

Here is the 100th week special for you all. Thank you so much for sticking through our thick and thin. This issue is dedicated to you all

It was Jan 2019, I was getting back from Delhi.

That was the lowest point in my life as if everything I have planned got shattered. I moved to Delhi six months ago with a lot of hope that I along with my friends are going to build something we have thought around helping companies and startups.

We had plans, ideas, some clients but still due to some mismatch in priorities, our partnership didn’t work out. I was doubting my capabilities, I felt terrible as if everything got over, what am I gonna do next?! I had no jobs or any significant personal saving to cover my expenses. Following questions were haunting me:

• What are you going do next?

• What is the point of reading all the books if you cannot do anything?

• How will I pay for my expenses?

• Is this the end of my career?

• Did I make a mistake by choosing this path?

• Should I apply for job next? Who is going to hire me? What do I know?

• Coming to Delhi was a big mistake?

• Where did I go wrong?

I was living all alone in the Delhi Winter back on 2018 with a hope that things will change but unfortunately it didn’t work out the way I thought. Well things happen for good reason like they say.

Here’s my luggage I was carrying back. (Fun fact 80% of these of bags and carton had books inside. Books has a significant role to play in my life, I have a thread on it)

Fast forward to today in 2023, we are writing our 100th issues of our official newsletter “Fueler Weekly”. Here’s a small clip from everything we accomplished in the year 2022.

How we came up with idea of Fueler?

To be honest, we really hated the process of getting hired and the process of selection to work at a company or a startup.

Suppose, you are good at X but instead of improving your game at “X”, we are preparing for aptitude and some random interviews which a lot of times, don't add any value going forward in your career.

The existing interview process does injustice to the talents, to the creatives who want to be judged based on what they can do, and what they can show instead of how much they can score in the exams.

I personally believe that the real test of knowledge for an individual is their creation (whatever they have created) and how they are able to put it in front of the world. Whatever you know and if you are able to put that into action has the biggest leverage for you.

We started out as a small team, have no pedigree education background, and no experience working with big-shot startups, but had a passion for education, career, and the intent to help other individuals like us.

Building companies that end up helping millions is a moonshot project for a lot of startup founders out there. For us, even though we know 90% of startups fail, we have always tried to learn from what the other 10% of startups did so differently that they made it eventually.

• We started with 4 people and currently, we are a team of 13 people

• Achieved all these accomplishments by bootstrapping (no external capital raised)

So, what’s next for Fueler?

18 months ago, we didn’t have any idea, things will go, how we will figure out things that we had no idea about, but after these 18 months and the way people have shown support to Fueler, we truly believe that “Proof of Work is the Future”.

No matter what corner of the world you belong to, what school or college you went to, or what’s your background, if you can showcase your proof of work confidently, you can grab any opportunities you dream about.

Whether you want to work at Google, NASA, Tesla, or Apple or any of your dream companies and startup, proof of work can make your dream come true. Having your Proof of Work is an ultimate leverage for you in today’s competitive world
